AMSIMCEL is a Romanian-based #deeptech company developing HyperPV, a GPU-powered framework for the next generation of chip design tools. We are looking for a friendly and passionate software engineer to join our team and support us in developing the fastest verification engine on the planet. You will be in charge of implementing new core features for HyperPV, a cutting-edge Electronic Design Automation tool running on the latest generation Nvidia/AMD GPUs. You will contribute to all software development cycles from design and development to test and documentation. You’ll be developing in a modern C++ environment using libraries such as cuda, boost, OpenMPI and OpenMP.
A typical work day:
– Daily standup;
– Solve any pending or blocking issues;
– Participate actively in technical design sessions;
– Develop new features and solve bugs;
– Test the features that you have developed;
– Update our team knowledge base.
Technical Skills
Required Skills:
– 5+ years of hands-on experience of development and deployment of complex features;
– Strong software engineering knowledge and demonstrated expertise in modern C++ (11/14/17);
– Very good understanding of object-oriented software development, generic programming, parallel algorithms, and data structures;
– Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
Desired Experience:
– Experience developing in a Linux environment;
– Scripting in Linux (Python/Bash);
– Experience with Cuda and GPU Programming;
– Previous experience with CAD/CAM algorithms.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Semiconductor Process/Physical Verification Implementation engineer to join our team and support us in developing the fastest verification engine on the market.
We are now expanding our Semiconductor Foundries collaboration and we are looking for a Process/Physical Verification Implementation Engineer to drive the development of design rule checks for a novel Physical Verification tool. The person should demonstrate the ability to work in a highly competitive international environment and needs to have hands-on experience in working with Semiconductor manufacturers and foundries.
– Put in place methodologies for the development of design rules for a new PV tool;
– Ownership of Semiconductor design rules definition (understand process technology, DRM, fabrication steps, DRC/LVS rundecks/ruledecks, layout dependent effects, process variation, yield factors);
– Development and optimization of design rules, using the OpenDFM standard, including extensions of the standard when applicable;
– Execution of pilot projects with third parties, by integrating our novel tool as part of the EDA tool-chain, based on target semiconductor technologies (FD-SOI and FinFET);
– Development of rundecks/ruledecks for DRC/LVS that accelerate the physical verification process;
– Validation of rundecks/ruledecks developed by third parties and support of the foundry certification of HyperPV on target semiconductor technologies (45/22/14/10/7/5 nm).
You will also be a technical fellow, assisting the product team in the implementation of new features for HyperPV, a cutting-edge Electronic Design Automation tool running on the latest generation Nvidia/AMD GPUs.
– Expert knowledge of Semiconductor process manufacturing in planar, FinFET, FD-SOI technologies, including Front-end & Back-end features, devices, layout rules, and mask creation.
– Expert knowledge of DRC rules writing and customization of DRC & LVS rundecks in Calibre, ICV or PVS;
– Proven sign-off and tape-out experience in at least one of the following nodes: FinFET 16nm, FinFET 14nm, FinFET 12nm, FinFET 7nm, FinFET 5nm, FD-SOI 22nm, FD-SOI 18nm.
– Expert knowledge of Physical Design Verification, layouting, floorplanning, constraint-driven placement, routing, power distribution, in low-power, HV and HF planar, FinFET, and FD-SOI technologies;
– Expert knowledge of DRC, LVS, Extraction, ERC, Dummy Fill, Antennas, with a plus for 3Dstack, Interposer, InFo.
– Working knowledge of at least one of the SVRF, TVF, OpenDFM standards.
– Working knowledge of Python and TCL;
– Working knowledge of Cadence Virtuoso Layout Suite and Siemens Calibre.
Nice to have (a big plus):
– Experience developing in a Linux environment;
– Preferable Klayout, Place and Route (ICC);
– Preferable development of Standard libs, PDKs;
– Scripting in Linux (Python/Bash).
